A critical incident can be any situation which causes an emergency services worker to experience strong emotional reactions that have the potential to interfere with their ability to function.

The East Texas CISM Program was established to assist emergency responders in dealing with the stress of their profession. Our team is made up of highly-trained and highly-qualified volunteers who interact with emergency services personnel to mitigate the effects of stress and trauma inherent in providing emergency care to our communities.
